"I had the opportunity to have spent 11 weeks during the winter with Finnbarr Kennedy. Teacher Finnbarr lived the life of a monk for 21 years. To be honest, I have never encountered a being radiating light as he does in real life. Finnbarr helped me to deepen, strengthen and broaden my practice, and was available 24/7. If I needed anything he was there for me. I know this retreat will not be my last with Teacher Finnbarr. These days it is very hard to find a real authentic teacher. We all have to be extra careful. If you are looking to do a serious, intensive retreat, Teacher Finnbarr is your teacher."

Meditate in Europe's biggest stupa in Zalaszántó (Peace Temple)

The local 'Peace Temple' is one of the largest stupas in Europe, evoking the atmosphere of Southeast Asia. Its striking size and vibrant colors draw attention from afar. Inspired by the vision of South Korean Buddhist monk Bop Jon in the early 1990s, this magnificent shrine was established as a place of peace and reflection. Built on powerful ley lines, it offers a deeply spiritual setting for meditation.

Kehida Thermal Spa

The local Kehida thermal lake and Spa has everything you need to complement your stay. Hévíz – a Hungarian spa town

Lake Hévíz is just 15 minutes away and has the largest thermal lake in the world. It’s been appreciated for its healing properties for more than 2000 years. In summer, the water lilies are in full bloom and is stunning, however there is no bad time for a visit as the water is warm all year round.

Discover Szigligeti Vár

Lake Balaton

With 64 beaches, 73 harbours and a shoreline defined by small towns and bobbing sailboats, it’s perhaps no surprise that Lake Balaton has long been referred to as the ‘Hungarian Sea’. Flanked on its northern side by rolling hills pockmarked by castle ruins and tumbling vineyards, there are myriad landscapes, culture and history to explore around Central Europe’s largest lake.
